Guidelines On Moving House During the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic

Due to changes in government guidelines starting on 15th of June 2020 regarding travelling, and the recently amended guidelines regarding moving house, we would like to make you aware of some changes we have made to our coronavirus (Covid-19) transportation guidelines and precautions.

We have continued to provide man with a van removal services in London throughout the government lock down whilst following government advice.  The safety of our clients and our team is our priority, and we have done everything we can to keep everyone safe during our operations.  Due to the governments recent announcement, we are happy that we can now start to ease some of the strict guidelines and extra precautions we have been following over the past couple of months.

We will start to take passengers from the 15th of June 2020 and clients will be allowed to assist with loading and unloading, but the following new guidelines and precautions must be followed to help keep everyone safe.

Disposable gloves and face masks have been distributed to our team and our vans will continue to be cleaned and sanitised after every job to prevent contamination.

We advise and ask all our clients to:

Book in advance wherever possible to avoid disappointment.  We are expecting to see a surge in the number of removals we usually undertake in the coming months as the lock down eases.

Pack responsibly – Current government guidelines state that the client should do all of the packing and clean anything that is intended for removal before the items are handled by others.  Please try to do the packing yourself and ensure that all items intended for removal are thoroughly cleaned before we arrive.  All items must be packed in bags or boxes – no loose bedding or clothing will be accepted.

Book a two-man service – If you have any large furniture or similar size items that need to be moved, we recommend that you book a two-man service.  This will ensure that social distancing between us can be maintained throughout the process.  Alternatively, two people from the same household could load and unload these items themselves without assistance from the driver.

Allow us to wash our hands – We are not currently undertaking any removals in any premises where no handwashing facilities are in place.  Please ensure that soap and hot water is readily available at both the collection and the delivery address so our team can wash their hands after coming in contact with your belongings.

Keep it contactless – Please keep a two-metre distance from our team or more and do not touch or shake hands.  For any circumstances where a two-metre distance cannot be maintained, both our client and any members of our team must wear a face mask until social distancing can be maintained.

Wear a face mask when you travel with us – We are not allowing any clients to travel with us unless they wear a face mask throughout the journey.  We are providing face masks to our clients free of charge.  For the safety of our team and our clients, all passengers and drivers must wear a face mask when they travel together.  We also recommend that you open the windows when you travel which will help to ventilate the vehicle and could help to reduce the risk.

Don’t book if you have coronavirus – If you have a cough, a temperature or if you have come in contact with anyone with these symptoms within the past 30 days, please do not book our services until you have followed the self-isolation guidelines.  You can find the self-isolation guidelines and advice from the NHS here.  If you have already booked with us, please let a member of our team know as soon as possible so we can freeze your booking until you are ready to move.

Contactless Same Day Couriers & Removals in London

Due to the Coronavirus (Covid 19) Pandemic and the governments recent announcement regarding the “stay at home rules,” we would like to make you aware that we are still here to help. It’s a difficult and challenging time for many of our clients, and we understand that now more than ever our clients are depending on us to get their items moved from A to B.  

We have put some temporary precautions and guidelines in place to ensure that we can keep our clients and our team safe whilst continuing to provide uninterrupted van services.

We are temporarily providing contactless removals & contactless same day courier services.

  • Contactless means – a two metre gap or more that must be maintained at all times throughout the process.
  • Clients are currently unable to assist the driver to load and unload any large items due to the social distancing guidelines. For any items where two people are required, a minimum of two men must be booked. Alternatively two people from the same household can load and unload these items without the drivers assistance.
  • We are currently unable to take any passengers
  • Items must be boxed or wrapped. We will refuse to collect any loose items.
  • We can only transport frozen or chilled foods for a maximum of 30 minutes. Please note: Our vans are not refrigerated.

All of our couriers and removals operatives have been provided with face masks and disposable gloves. Our vans are now also being cleaned and sanitised after every job has been completed to prevent contamination.

We will keep all of our clients updated on the progress of their bookings via sms or by phone if they are not present.

Proof of delivery can also be provided by photo which can instantly be sent to the sender upon request.  Due to the current circumstances, we are unable to collect a signature from the recipient.

Coronavirus Transportation Precautions

Due to the coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic, we would like to make you aware of temporary measures we are taking in order to protect our team and our clients. These guidelines will be amended on the 15th of June 2020.  If you are moving house after the 15th of June 2020, please read our New Guidelines For Moving House During the Coronavirus (Covid 19) Pandemic.

We are continuing to provide man with a van services to our clients throughout the government lock down and the coronavirus (Covid 19) pandemic. We are however, following social distancing guidelines and we have put some extra precautions in place to help prevent the spread of the virus and save lives. The government has not banned moving house.  Advice from the government is to delay moving home – if possible. You can read government advice about moving house during the lock down here.

All of our removals operatives have been provided with disposable gloves, masks and protective overalls. They have been advised to wear a new pair of gloves every time they load, and every time they unload. Masks and overalls could be worn at our clients request, or if any of our team feel it to be necessary.

The front and back of our vans are currently being cleaned and sanitised after every job – this is to help ensure that they are free from any contamination, ready to transport our next clients items safely.

During the government lock down, for the safety of our team and our clients, we are only carrying out contactless removals and contactless same day courier services.

4. Book a two man service – If you have any large furniture or similar size items that need to be moved, you are required to book a two man service. Our drivers are not currently permitted to carry any large heavy items without a fellow colleague. Alternatively, two people from the same household can load and unload these items themselves without assistance from the driver.

5. Keep it contactless – Please keep a two metre distance or more from our team at all times and do not touch or shake hands.

6. Arrange for your own personal transportation – We are currently unable to take any passengers. This is due to the seating space in our vans not complying with the social distancing guidelines. Please travel in your own vehicle. If you or anyone in your household does not have one, we recommend you travel using public transport at off peak times when the social distancing guidelines can most likely be complied with.

7. Don’t book if you have coronavirus – If you have a cough, a temperature or if you have been in contact with anyone with these symptoms within the past 30 days, please do not book our services until you have followed the self isolation guidelines.
